Personal history
Growing up in a farming village adjacent to the Royal Pioneers of the University of Labpark, he developed a love for exploration and adventure. While he was still a pup, he once snuck off with a band of pioneers, bringing his younger cousin Adele to show her the great libraries of University of Labpark. After a scolding for bringing such a young puppy on a dangerous journey, he managed to escape the professors and headed off to Labpark.
In The Shepherd Inn, he met Terri, and the two snuck out to explore the city, becoming fast friends. He stayed in Labpark for a full year, spending most of his time with his friend, but eventually, his father tracked him down and drug him home. He was put to work with his Aunt Shiela in Eukanuba Church, to try to make a good, honest shepherd of him.
Constantly in and out of trouble with his aunt and his father, he would sneak letters off to Terri through some of his friends in the Pioneers whenever he got a chance. One day her family, devout shepherds themselves, intercepted one of these letters. Dismayed to find her carrying on with a dog of the church like this, they forbid her from contacting him again and tried to pair her with an upstanding young shepherd from one of the nearby farms. At the next Midsummer Festival, she ran away during the bonfire festivities and made her way to Eukanuba, where she eloped with Stephen to the village of Sandypaws.
