University of Labpark

Dedicated to the study of magic, Man, and dog culture, the university houses numerous master artisans, historians, their students and a collection of artifacts to rival the Church of Man.
Students are primarily members of the nobility, with a handful of scholarships offered to extremely promising students of lesser means. The university accepts all, including cats, though it has yet to have any badger graduates.

Structure

The university is split into several schools, and professors in each school pursue their own research according to their interests. Most professors are proficient in multiple areas, and often collaborate with professors in other schools.
Professors in each school convene each year to identify the most adept masters, often graduates of the university. New candidates are invited to join the university for a year long research and/or lecturer position, often renewed year to year. Those who produce truly outstanding work are invited to join the university as full professors.

School of Magical Arts

The first school established in the university, students of this school pursue the study of the magical arts. Many aspiring artisans join the university specifically to attend this school, so many in fact, that the university cannot house them all. Only the most promising are currently admitted as students.

School of History

Founded alongside and working closely with the Royal Pioneers, this school specializes in the study of texts, artifacts, and nature. Fieldwork is particularly common in this school, which produces specialists in areas such as archeology, linguistics, plants, animals, and geography.

School of Philosophy

The newest and most controversial school, founded by a professor of history who discovered ancient academic writings of man concerned with something called "philosophy." Not all professors agree on exactly what philosophy is, or even that it's very useful, but most agree that it is concerned with the study of one's own society, including politics, religion, speaking well and arguing with other dogs about various things.
