Personal history
Princess Callianessa was born very late in her parents' lives, in fact the old king did not live to see her birth. Her mother lived for a few more years, but the princess spent most of her childhood being raised by her brother, the newly crowned King Alpheos, and of course a whole host of staff. In most royal families, a third sibling separated by so many years would be destined to become the basis of a marriage alliance with another state, or perhaps a cash infusion through a marriage to a wealthy nobleman. Onchamos' descendants firmly believe in the self-determination that saw their ancestor build a city and a kingdom, so Callianessa was not so constrained. She has devoted herself utterly to the betterment of her home city, and though she has repeatedly tried to arrange for King Alpheos to find a wife, she has also not been at all shy about her own candidacy for the throne should he choose not to take one.
Education
Like all of Onchamos' royalty, Callianessa attended the University of Oros as soon as she was eligible to enroll. As the third child and a daughter, she found herself enrolled at the College of Versification, but she threw herself headlong into additional courses at the College of Crowns and managed to graduate from both in her allotted time.
