Personal history

Darron was born to a minor noble family, the Cadarns, who live to the Southwest of Whiteport on a small estate. At the age of thirteen his father, by calling in a number of favors at court, got Darron sent to Whiteport as a squire for Duke Owain, and three years later Darron distinguished himself at the Battle of the Barrows, saving Duke Owain's life by stopping a sword thrust that would have killed the Duke, and in thanks Duke Owain knighted Darron and gave him a position on the city watch.   For the next few years Darron worked as a low-level officer in the Bronzeguard, working to keep the city safe and keep the various subversive influences in the city in check, and Darron established contacts with Whiteport's underbelly through his firm support of the Golds. As a personal favorite of Duke Owain, Darron was often offered the best assignments, and eventually this culminated in Darron's appointment as Captain of the Bronzeguard and since his appointment the Bronzeguard have maintained their well-respected reputation.   Darron has also been the subject of court scandal and gossip, as his marriage to a Tiefling dancer he met through the Golds, Zahala, sparked vigorous controversy at court. This was only heightened by his parents refusal to recognize Zahala as his wife, and as a result Darron's relationship with the rest of his noble family can be considered tenuous at best.
