Nazara
Introduction
Nazara is a name long forgotten like a tiny star lost in the vastness of the night sky. The last who knew and worshiped her are now dust, and those few who still whisper her name no longer understand its meaning. Nazara lives on only in the fairy tales and myths that drift through Kena'an, comforting the young and guiding the wise. Though nearly every soul has heard stories of the lost princess, none truly grasp the truths hidden in them: Nazara is neither a fable nor a fragment of imagination. She is the goddess of hope and the future, the silent guardian of children.
Or at least… she was once.
Creation
Nazara's creation is a tale unlike any other. She was not crafted by another god, nor did she inherit her place in the pantheon. Instead, the lost princess appeared from nowhere, springing into consciousness as a manifestation of mortal hope and imagination; a goddess born from humanity's deepest dreams of the future. It was their visions that gave life to her, not the other way around. Before the Age of Purification, Nazara held immense power, a strength forged from countless whispered wishes and desires, and she became one of the mightiest among the gods, embodying hope itself.
But as the Age of Purification wore on- a turbulent five hundred year period marked by a great war among the gods- Nazara disappeared without warning, sometime in its middle years. Her clerics, once comforted by her gentle blessings, were met only with silence where her soothing voice had been. Prayers to the goddess went unanswered, and her presence faded from both mortal and immortal realms. At the end of the Age of Purification, the thousand-year Era of Silence began, during which all gods vanished from the world. Yet when the gods returned at last, Nazara was not with them. As the ages passed, her name slipped from memory, until both she and her faith became little more than faint whispers of a forgotten past.
Appearance
In her natural form, Nazara was a figure of sublime mystery, her essence woven into the very fabric of time. She bore three faces, each one a reflection of the eternal flow: one that gazed upon the past with the quiet sorrow of ancient memories, one that saw the present with the sharp clarity of now, and one that looked to the future with the infinite possibility of all that could be. These faces, ever-changing yet bound together, symbolized the goddess's dominion over hope and the unfolding of destiny. When Nazara visited the mortal realms, however, she took a form far softer and more intimate: that of children, the purest embodiment of innocence and potential. Her form was ever-shifting, as if she might be any child, anywhere, at any moment- bringing with her the promise of the future, of dreams untainted by time or sorrow. In the guise of a child, Nazara would walk among mortals, her presence a silent balm to the weary, a whisper of hope to those who felt lost, and a reminder that, no matter the trials of the present, the future still held infinite possibilities.
