On foot, the Temple Knights of Stromus Solare usually use a bastard sword, war hammers and sometimes battle axes and they are armoured in 25 kg of steel, all of them wear a cape and the great helm is decorated with wings. Even though they are heavily armoured they still have mobility.
The excellent cavalry of the temple knights rides the Sonnenfeuer Rösser, which are 17 - 19 hands high and weighs about 1200 kg. On a horse, the Knights equip lance, mauls and swords.

History

Founded in the first war of the Andric Empire against the Middle Realm, which Stromus Solare took part in, and became quickly one of the most powerful foes you can face. When the faith of a campaign looks dire, they change it. Never have they lost a battle.
Once a detachment of 50 Temple Knights was sent to the Marshlands for an expedition. 2 weeks after entering the Marsh's they got attacked by a horde of hungry Vampyrs, they fought about 1 Week against the enemy. Not a single one of them died in this battle and they advanced further into the swamps than any human has ever been. They found the lost city called Ad-Ra-Luthan and they found the shadows living in this place, which could doom Kandria. They knew they couldn't win against the evil in this place, so they send one young recruit back to the Order while the others all sacrifice themselves to seal this place.
Even though most heroic deeds, lie in the past now, the glory and legends of these times have matured like fine wine and the number of aspirants has grown. But today's member-only care for the glory but forget about respect and honour these days. So it comes that the order wages war against the Middle Realm.

Historical loyalties

They are loyal to the people of the Empire, which includes the Emperor somehow but should the Emperor act against their ideals they will make him an enemy.
