The Gir'An
Unlike their Shamanistic and Royalist cousins, the Gir’An are a warlike and barbaric people who live in the northern places of Kalin. Twisted by the Great War these tribal people often raid their neighbors, or go south on great boats to raid the coastline; though the Fallen City of Balmoth is their favored target.
They also control the “Island of Bones” to the west. This island is a culturally and politically important neutral ground where the Gir’An meet to settle tribal disputes, usually with blood and duels.
They are known to be strong warriors, and have tamed many odd beasts in the bitter and corrupted northern reaches. Any traveler would be wise to avoid them if possible.
Demography and Population
The Gir'An are spread out among a wide area in the frozen Northwest area of the continent. It is here the tribes wander, fight each other, and launch their raids on their neighbors. Tribes will often temporary ally with each other versus other tribes or for raids, just to resume fighting.
Territories
Gir'An territory is mostly frozen year around, and mostly empty. A lot of it is frozen tundra with very little land for growth or building of anything. They survive with dark worship and bloody raids.
Military
The Gir'An are fierce, and undisciplined, warriors. In their ships and on land they launch raids on their neighbors looking for new resources and loot for their tribes. A Gir'An warrior is almost a head taller than the average human and much stronger, and are known for being fierce fighters.
Religion
Any religion that the Gir'An hold is simply conjecture. But many suspect that they worship dark gods.
Foreign Relations
The Gir'An are hostile with every neighbor with the exception of Jarak, where they used get a lot of their weapons and armor. This changed after the Year of the Dragon, resulting in Gir'An losing much of their armor and weapon supplies.
This is because they launch raids as far west as parts of Lyath'Or and as far South as Tharrisia (on rare occasion).
They are a hostile people driven by darkness and bloodshed.
