Marcrag

Marcrag was a warrior of Genlith and a servant of The Iron Face
Born in Esdrun in the year 889 he distinguished himself in feats of arms and earned the respect of his peers for his honour and courage.
During The Sundering he fought for the Oathkeepers against the Dawn Alliance and served particularly on the eastern border of Genlith against the invading forces of Raendor
In the course of one skirmish he was captured by Raendor forces, the Iron Wraiths that seemed to appear from nowhere and cut off his force. He and many others were taken captive to the Border Delvings carved deep and long beneath the mountains between the two lands. There he was imprisoned in a foul dark cell with other captives, interrogated and tortured by his captors for what information they sought to wring from them.
When the captors had no need of the prisoners or the tunnels they simply retreated leaving the poor souls in the darkness to die at their own pace.
Marcrag's spirit has never rested however. He hungered beyond life for two things - an honourable burial for the unfortunates who suffered alongside him, and the recovery of his sword, consecrated to The Iron Face that was taken as a trophy by the Raendor general who had commanded the Iron Wraiths
