Northern Mountains

The Northern Mountains are a expansive and towering range of mountains that begin at the northern half of Eperit and stretch all the way to the northern part of the continent.

Natural Resources

The mountain itself provides fresh water due to melting snow that runs into the Cauwin and Naquar Lake, being the reason for the existence of the two large freshwater lakes. The mountain are also rich with mineral and metal deposits, easily found throughout the range and in the several caves scattered throughout. Crystal is also in abundance, though they can only be found deep within the caves. Lastly, the lower regions of the area is sought after for the Struce trees of the area, thick yet significantly pretty wood that is used in many homes.

History

Due to it's chilly weather, steep mountainsides, and dangerous fauna this region is mostly uninhabitable. The only ones known to inhabit this area are dragons, wyverns, the Parr Mountain Horse, Parr Goats, and Cimmerian witches.
Traveling through the mountain is mostly avoided, many fearing attracting the eye of those that live atop it. Typically, many will walk the southern path that just barely skirts past Eperit or will take the Tiverline Trail. The Tiverline Trail, though rough, is a safe trail that starts on the south-eastern side of the mountain and ends on the center western side of the range, letting one out near the Parrhurst Steppe.
