Theryn
Theryn is a once abandoned town upon one of the largest of the Salt Islands. The buildings are all made of solid stone, with fine decorative engravings. To combat the incessant salt accumulation in the area, every building and road is connected with a series of gutters so that when it rains the salt washes away. Almost everything of value within Theryn had been taken away when the population left, fleeing the sickening grasp of Elisna, a vile sea hag who was later defeated. It's currently being resettled by Jaytown adventurers.
The most notable building left is a large library and temple dedicated to Ioun. For whatever reason the books inside were the only things left behind after the exodus. The vast majority of books and scrolls have been destroyed, waterlogged and infested with small sea creatures, molluscs and marine worms who slowly ate their way through the parchment and covers. Within the library is a very out of place rocky pool which descends for hundreds of feet and stretches out for miles, it was the lair of Elisna but seems to now be abandoned after her defeat. The library is in the process of being restored and its lost knowledge replaced.
Kai, Nazım and Don Freeman (in the disguise of Sir Thomas) reclaimed the city for those fleeing trouble around Jaytown and anyone else interested in resettling as long as they obeyed the laws and worked for the good of the city. Nazım /Jay will become the mayor of the town when he is done in Jaytown
