The Boiling Sea
Underneath a section of the, sea the barrier between the material plane and the plane of fire is weak. Volcanic activity covers the sea floor here and occasionally when the barrier is weakest this volcanic activity accelerates causing the ocean for miles to heat up and begin to boil before geysers of water shoot up from the eruptions below. These massive columns of water evaporate almost instantly causing scalding steam to cover the surface, burning any nearby.
