HyperSuppression Mania

HyperSuppression Mania is a proposed psychological disorder. So far only one person has been diagnosed with it, so it isn't wholly recognized.
There is push back against this being considered an illness on its own, as it could be considered more a side effect of Mirye and Oracle abuse.
This illness is hard to diagnose as one doesn't show symptoms regularly. Though if someone is overly clam in stressful or dangerous situations, they are more likely to have this Mania. They may also exhibit a disinterest in every day things, tending to focus solely on a hobby. Though this is yet to be confirmed as related.
There is some debate among the Soundness Studies community as to whether or not HSM is linked to Involuntary Caustic Superciliousness .
There are still in debates over HSM being a proven illness or not, the second debating if the two are linked or not, and the third debating if the HSM is another symptom or stage of ICS.
More research is needed, unfortunately there has only been one documented case of HSM so testing is difficult.

Causes

The cause is as of yet unknown.

Symptoms

Extreme bouts of over excitable mania in otherwise calm people given the right simple stimulation. Usually taking the form of intense uncontrollable laughter to the point of collapse from lack of oxygen or damage to ones body. When in this state the sufferer can do nothing but laugh. Even when in mortal peril they won't even bother protecting themselves.
(This has been tested, though fret not, the patient is still in good health.)

Treatment

No treatment has been devised as of yet. Though daily regimented physical exercise seems to lessen outbursts.
