Waelborn Manor

The estate has been in the Munna family for generations and each Earl would add their own touches to the family manor house, through magical or renovations. Bedrooms have been built and dedicated to hosting spirits and ghosts allied to or in service to the family, to provide a physical tether while they are in the physical world.   Overtime, parts of the house and the greater estate have started to phase in and out of reality, so some parts of the house became completely inaccessible. To keep the whole house from slipping into an astral realm, core parts were bound and anchored to this reality: Entryway, library, study, dining room, sitting room, master bedroom, kitchen, 2 guest bedrooms.   With his parents passing during the war, Fynlan became the primary heir to the estate. Due to his absence, his extended family assumed he has given up his claims to the Earl title, the estate, and the rights that go with it. His father’s family has started a probate process to begin dividing the holdings and valuables just as Fynlan re-emerges from Shadow.   Major rooms of the house
  • Library - main source of arcane lore the family has compiled. Many of the texts have likely been lifted and placed into trust as the estate was being carved up. Some secrets may still be found here, those only known to the immediately family of the Earl. Room was also used to host readings and Royal Magical Society meetings
  • Study - Private study for the Earl, has magical circles used to bind and converse with spirits and the private notes and journals kept by the master of the house. Much of this may have been placed into trust due to probate
  • Dining Room - a richly decorated dining room in a slightly out of fashion style. Large ornate chandeliers hang from the ceiling with detailed crown molding. Can comfortably host 20 to 30 people.
  • Drawing Room - Main social hub of the house. Rich paintings and tapestries hang from the walls and a rich enchanted ceiling displays the heavens and the turning of the sky
  • Kitchen - a large robust kitchen that could prepare meals and play host to the numerous functions hosted by the Earl.
  • Ballroom (may be out of phase) - what’s a manor house without a ballroom to host dances?
  • Master Bedroom - an extended bedroom / private living area for the Earl and partner. Has an impressive live in closet along with a private area to entertain intimate guests, including spirits.
  • Childhood bedroom - phased out of reality, can’t find the door
  • Guest Bedroom 1 - One anchored guest room for a living breathing person
  • Guest Bedroom 2 - Room dedicated to hosting spirits, no living person may use it.
  • Guest Bedroom 3 (may be out of phase)
  • Guest Bedroom 4 (may be out of phase)
  • Guest Rooms (definitely out of phase)
  • Cellar (definitely out of phase) - The cellar was lost years ago to the spirit realms, but there are ways to call it back and gain access to it. Items here have not been claimed into trust yet because Fynlan’s extended family doesn’t know how to recall the door.
(GM's note: homes start relatively unfurnished, but this description assumes Fynlan take the time to get his family stuff back.)   Exterior Areas of the Estate
  • Small pond - fish and other freshwater creatures live here. Sometimes spirits of the river may spend time there.
  • Rose garden overgrown with weeds - dedicated to nature spirits, and kept up to their specifications. Without the Earl, it's fallen into disrepair.
  • Sheyfaux grove with a cairn / standing stones - A wild space untouched and uncultivated. Sacrifices were made to the nature spirits here.
  • Small ruined chapel - A ruined chapel dedicated to a long forgotten spirit or god. Sacrifices to both angel and demon were made here over the years.
