Saltmarsh
Demographics
Saltmarsh is a primarily Human settlement. However there are pockets of other races in town; for example the by the docks is a small but close knit community of Half-Orcs, focused around Greenarm’s Removals, a family run enterprise of Half-Orcs focused on removals and demolitions led by Yevelda Greenarm.
Government
Saltmarsh is nominally governed by a council formed of representatives from the various guilds and temples. In practice the Temple of Erathis governs most decisions in the town, given its power and popularity within the people of Saltmarsh.
Defences
A tall stockade of rough hewn marsh trees, interspersed with stone watch towers, surrounds the town on three sides. Long stone piers extend into the sea at either end of the walls where the town meets the coast.
Industry & Trade
Principle trade in Saltmarsh comes from it’s fishermen and hunters. There is a small artisans guild presence, where dedicated artists try to keep Ambergleam’s legacy alive with carved Amber works of art.
