The courtroom of flesh
GlaAs you pass through the last of the water, you fall flat on your feet in a new chamber. Above you, the water just hovers in place, not entering this new chamber. In this chamber, there are six statues arranged around the room. Some of these you recognize, statues of Maladar Dictum and Baron Malgas of the court of all flesh. The others are also creatures of shell, and chaos, the other members of the court. In the very center of the temple is a small stone pedestal oozing with blood. Next two these pillars, are two simple obelisks of stone. Azra'iel, you hear a whisper in your ear.
"Take what is yours, take what is mine. Place your blade in the pedestal, let us go forth to bring about a changed world. A changing world"
Obelisks:
Upon reaching for the pedestal, the obelisks react, releasing beasts to attack the party.
As you step forwards, the obelisks glow bright red, illuminating runes among them. From the obelisks, two great fiends emerge, snarling with anticipation for battle. One is bone white and skeletal, the other red with two massive pincers. The two finds snarl with anger and attack.
A bone devil and a Glabrezu are imprisoned here to defend the seal on the prison of Cerathor. They fight to the end and disappear upon death.
Pedestal:
As the blade slides into the pedestal, there is a sound of rushing water and blood. A jangling or chains. Blood oozes onto the obsidian sword and it grows, blade building to be nearly fully formed. It stops suddenly and there is a sound of shattering iron, of snarls of anger. The eyes of all the statues brighten and submit, before the central figure of Azra'iel. Then, sounding out through the room is the chilling sound of a laughing god. A god whose chains are weakened. And though you are far from each, alliance and betrayer shudder at the sound of one feared by both.
