6/22/20 Session 21 - "I have altered the deal"
Our heroes reconvene at the Blue Water Inn to meet with Irwin and ask him some questions. Rictavio the Bard follows him out to the bar area to listen in. The party presents him with the Symbol of Ravenkind, but he does not seem to know what this is. When pressed and told that his father is the one who supplied them with the object, Irwin does reveal that he and his family do share a special relationship with the ravens. He calls this order they belong to "The Keepers of the Feather".
After revealing this the party tells him about the book his ravens bought them. They share this information with he and Rictavio who both seem very awestruck. When pressed about where it came from, he does not know. The adventures also share they had been inside Castle Ravenloft and met with Strahd von Zarovich to help him with a task. Both Irwin and Rictavio seem very concerned, but listen on. When asked if the ravens have seen their missing Vistani friend Ezmerelda, Rictavio seems to physically retort, but Irwin offers no real information, just that there is a Vistani camp to the South of Vallaki they could check.
Wondering why Rictavio has stayed and listened to their information being shared with Irwin, the adventurers begin to press him about who he is. He informs they he was an orphan from Vallaki also raised at the Church of St. Andral. He became a bard and roams the town singing his songs. Iriwn is nice enough to put him up nearly free of charge. When pressed about information on Van Richten, he informs the party that he is not real and just a fable made to give people hope. He laughs off all of the information presented to him by the party as false info given to them by the likes of Ezmerelda, and that they should not trust a Vistani.
Ater bickering with Rictavio for a while, the party accepts him for who he is and leaves him be. Irwin give the party a raven to use as a form of communication with the rest of the Keepers of the Feather. Her name is Muriel.
The adventures eventually retire to their rooms for the evening and head to sleep. During the night the (Robert) Hag (Al) Morgantha appears to Adrid and tells him that he broke his promise to the Hags and did not sell their pastries. After arguing with her for a while, Morgantha reaches across and seems to suck some life from a sleeping Balasar Norixius. The hag leaves additional pastries and seems to vanish into thin air when Adrid attempts to engage in a fight.
The rest party is awakened to an incensed Adrid pouring into the hallway shouting about Hags. Lilithus find new pastries and a note letting her know to sell them because Adrid seems incapable.
Adrid vows vengeance. The party plans to venture to meet the Hags head on as soon as possible.
