Vallaki

The town of Vallaki rests neatly in the forests. It's walled limits provide safety to those who should want protection from the beast that lurk Barovia at night. To the north is Lake Zarovich. Out of the view of Castle Ravenloft, Vallaki doesn't feel the same weight and gloom that the citizen of the Village of Barovia feel.
The Burgomaster of Vallaki Baron Vargas Vallakovich, holds weekly festivals to boost moral and spread happiness through Vallaki. He ends every speech and proclamation with "All will be well". The townsfolk seem to be tolerant of the constant festivals. Its most recent festival the "Wolf's Head Jamboree" has concluded and the town is reading for it's next one " The Festival of the Blazing Sun". Town guards and festival planners handout and hang flyers proclaiming the new festival to begin in 2 days time.
