Adrid
As an infant Adrid was left with the Church of Ilmater to be raised by the kind monks and priests. The only piece of his past was a strange crystal bound by red string gently tied to his wrist. Some of the order wondered if his half elf heritage was to blame for his abandonment, but his appearance was never strange enough to drive Adrid to think he was any different from the other children.
Many orphans do not take to the faith as they eventually grow to understand their situations and become unable to overcome their abandonment. However, Adrid took to it swiftly, finding an affinity for the Paladins and their firm convictions in protecting the innocent no matter the cost. He was eventually given the opportunity to begin training as a Paladin, and his years of patronage have finally paid off.
Now a newly minted Paladin of the "Companions of the Noble Heart", Adrid has the duty of, "seeking out and destroying the cruel, those people who torture and enjoy the suffering of others."
While on a holy mission to cleanse the land of the adherents and associates of Loviatar, the Maiden of Pain, Adrid did battle with the necromancer Lilithus. With the overwhelming force applied by the Companions of the Noble Heart, Lilithus was apprehended. Through a series of complex binding rituals and with the wary permission of the Companions, Adrid has begun an unorthodox method of rehabilitation wherein he brings the former necromancer on adventures and various crusades in order to grow her compassion and use her as a tool to rid the world of evils.
Adrid now finds himself in the company of the former necromancer on a near permanent basis.
