The First Battle of Rawhani

Remnant forces are engaged over Rawhani.

A Tenebrian Remnant fleet, including one of the dreaded Titan-class capital ships translated into the Rawhani system.   Such a large fleet so close to the homeworld was deemed too great a threat to ignore, especially as they could hold anchor indefinite over the corporate-run planet. Task Force Phoenix, a cohort of Red Sangha corvettes, Ad-Astra'sflagship, and the Marshal's lone free merchant supplemented the colony's own gunboat battleship. This ad-hoc armada translated into the Rawhani system, intent on battle.   The battle was concluded in an hour and a half of fierce fighting in space, the Red Sangha suffering especially heavily, losing two of their three corvettes to the Titan. Several other Greenbriar allied ships took damage during the battle, lashed at by enemy patrol boats and a bomber squadron that had excellent luck with its fractal impact charges.   A well placed final salvo by Billy Rigers, aboard the battleship Vox Finalis, sent the Titan careening, expanding into a wreckage field.   In a final act of treachery, the surviving two enemy patrol boats surrendered. Cyrus boarded one, only to find a trap on the bridge. His entire boarding team was killed- Cyrus himself jettisoned into space. If not for the timely intervention of an allied ship, and a little bit of luck, the trap would have proven his undoing.
