Nexcorp

Nexcorp is a mercenary corporation that has decided to operate in the Iron Stars Sectors shortly after The Scream. 
Total estimates on Nexcorp's size and the amount of force it can project are inconclusive and often conflicting. It is known that the company possesses a battle cruiser as its flagship, two troop transports, and an ever changing floatilla of escorts and lesser vessels depending on the types of contracts the company has taken on. 
Advanced mech designs, quality personal weapons and armor, and other novel high -tech innovations are often seen in Nexcorp ranks and because of this it is thought they have a large research and development department. 
The company was first documented in the Post-Scream era on Erdoza where they were paid large sums of credits and materials to bolster the poorly trained defense corps of the world's governor. When it became clear civilian uprisings and the rising tide of the Elysium Protectorate was going to make the governor's position untenable, Nexcorp dissolved their contracts and returned to space. 
From there, they were next encountered in the Ziya-al-Gulam system where they have facilitated logistics, transportation, and weapons sales between the two belligerent inhabited worlds in the system. They have not joined the fight themselves through the deployment of ground troops outside of escort for logistics and other small duties necessary to keep hostilities running. 
In August 2669 a Nexcorp occupied research station was liberated by Teucer of the Elysium Protectorate. Inside, the corporation was hoping to get its hands on the advanced reactor designs being developed within. The ensuing combat destroyed all but the last remaining sample of the technology, now installed in the Rorke's Drift as a thank you.
