Iron

The galaxy is seeded with iron, from cold lifeless asteroids to massive veins buried underground on paradise worlds. The iron in the sectors depicted here is the same as iron anywhere else, though it is often alloyed or strengthened in other ways before use. 
Traders would consider it a common ingot.
