Ostyrian

A proud and wicked semi-mythical polis of legend, said to have been a highly advanced society that controlled the entire Pyrmar and all the lands bordering it from their capitol in the middle of the ocean. It is told that they claimed divinity for themselves and offended the gods, so Heliana smote it with her mighty spear and sunk the whole island beneath the waves. 
Despite this, the "Tyrian Legacy" is still held onto as a birthright of mortals, a sign of both the mythic power they once wielded and that which they could potentially wield again. Tyrian is also the "high language" of the elite, filling a role much like Latin did in our world in the Middle Ages.
