Aimafon

A low blood-soaked vale plain between Xyria and Pelekys, site of many battles contemporary and ancient. It is claimed by both great powers and multiple other poleis besides, but is held by none. The Aimafon is sometimes ironically called the Calmlands for the morbid peace that settles upon its red fields after the latest inevitable war sweeps through the plain. The great native copper deposits of the land may be even more valuable than its strategic position, and the discovery of this metal means that the unceasing conflicts for control of the plain are unlikely to go away anytime soon.
