History

Initially part of the auxiliary support forts brought with Aros to exterminate the elves during Long Night.  After the Ascendants destroyed Aros Zephos withdrew with Strathos to the north to recover. Zephos was quick to ration and begin cultivating what lands they could while Strathos fell to madness and cannibalism. It took years for Strahos to join the efforts to colonize the south and aid in rebuilding Aros, long enough for the elves to root deep within their homeland.  Zephos resented Strathos for alloying the elves to become such a threat once again, feeding into their fued even as they pressed into the south to burn Greahs Grove and push to Mythnara. While Zephos pushed deeper into elven territory, Strathos remained behind to assist Aros reconstruction and reinforce their own colony. Without the support of Strathos the city of living shadow was quickly repelled after igniting the grove by elven forces. During their retreat Strathos call for aid infuriated the nobles of Zephos who had lost many of their forces in the assault and left the fools to their fate.  To the dismay of the Zephos nobles both Strathos and Aros survived and pushed back the elven retaliation. As the Zephos returned to reinforce the city of Strathos ignited a war by defacing the images of Y'heia and turning many of their desperate nobles into vile undead. Though the battle was short it cost both sides dearly, and forced Strathos to break its isolationist stance for the first time in centuries.
