an Argantian Dwarf city, it was one of the few dwarf cities not built directly into a large mountain or network of hills.it serves as one of the two outposts that supply the Great Gate.

the City is run by a Thane who speeks on behalf of Queen Nubani , and Clan Steelfleet who serve as sea wardens for the surrounding area. travel through the gate of heavenly stars is stricly monitored to prevent Ravan Drow assassins, or Shadowvar spies from slipping through.
Defences
Thorn Kohldur is build to standard dwarf specifications, strong stout walls build to withstand prolonged siege with trick paths designed to lead invaders to killzones and ambushes.
Industry & Trade
Thorn Kohldur has a constant stream of trade wagons between the kingdom of Argantus and Ravan, their most immediate trading partner the Elven city of Ashho Balanore filling in many of Thorn Kohldur's needs. the cities have developed a symbiotic relationship over the years.
Infrastructure
the city was built to acomidate the needs of the Gate, and provide a constant supply of goods and troops for those manning it as well as a respite for when soldiers were rotated out of service. in addition, the city holds a vast trade market as it serves as one of the central hubs between Ravan and Argantus. the nearby bodies of water provide means for food and water though it has to be purified through magical means before consumption.
Assets
Thorn Kohldur has an immediate supply of Mystrium, as the Fleet keeps the Anomalies from the Bay of ashes in check the corpses most often contain minute amounts of Green Mystrium that can be harvested.
Guilds and Factions
Thane Khetheck controls the city propper, and speaks on behalf of Queen Nubani as she often departs to Kharnolur or Wurdgrym on diplomatic missions to beseetch the Emperor or Argantus for more supplies, or to negotiate with the Wurdgrym empire.
History
built shortly before the construction of the Gate of Heavenly Stars, Thorn Kohldur quickly grew into a bustling trading outpost designed to provide a waystation for merchants on their way into argantus. as needs for the Gate changes, so too did they for Thorn Kohldur. during the repurposing of the gate, Thorn Kohldur was flooded with Artisans who needs a home, and as such the outpost quickly grew to acomidate the new population. the needs of the artisans would be met by the empire, and a clan was dispatched to man the area, seeing it grow into a full fledged city.

Standard Dwarven Architecture, with religious iconography and clan smybols strewn about through pragmatic and effeciently designed stone buildings.
Geography
the area surrounding Thorn Kohldur is rolling grass hills and forests, providing a much needed source of lumber,game, and water from the rivers and springs that hide within the areas.
Natural Resources
Thorn Kohldur relies on trade and support from the empire in order to survive, its only meaningful resource is that of Mystrium that is harvested from the Bay of Ashes and its anomalies.
