Holy Books & Codes

Qhyorim: A History Written by Vylfaen Elaris, the first Yoraish and kept updated by her descendants, Qhyorim: A History has become mandatory reading for all up and comings members of the Qhyorim. This has been done with the understanding by the elder Vagados that the Qhyorim need to understand their history in order to prevent repeating mistakes as well as to notice patterns and try to prevent atrocities where they can. All of the Qhyorim caravans maintain a copy of each edition of Qhyorim: A History, with some holding the origin edition in high regard due to the great respect placed upon Vylfaen Elaris.

The Traveller's Guide to Sightseeing (a.k.a The Scrawled Word) Written by and updated by Qhymos themselves as they reincarnate, The Traveller's Guide to Sightseeing contains incredibly important information on the various cultures of the world, their customs and how to appropriately provide aid to them. Despite its name, this book is often considered the 'Holy Text' of Qhymos, though Qhymos themselves tend to shrug this off and say that the books are more loose guidelines than any strict codes.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The Bladed Knot
A symbol made of a Bladed Scarf tied into a knot and laid in a circle, usually either desert orange or light blue in colouration, depending on the background it is placed upon. The Scarf represents the weapon and signifies of the Vagados (Priests of Qhymos) who all wear and wield Bladed Scarves, while the knot and the circle layout represent Qhymos's eternal nature and the fact that they tend to be members of their own clergy.

Tenets of Faith

"Ours is a gift not for ourselves, but for those less fortunate"
These words, spoken by Qhymos when the Qhyorim was first founded to the original Vagados, these words have become the core tenet of the Qhyorim, guiding their every action. Most Vagados see these words as their whole purpose, to use their divine powers in the service of others and not for selfish desires, though Qhymos has been noted mentioning that some selfish use, especially in the pursuit of harmless joy, is more than okay.

Holidays

Qhyviarnn - Annual Day of Celebration (1st of Qhyvar)
Given that not all caravans or even individual wandering Vagados will make it through any given year, the first day of the new year is a major celebration. Within the caravans of the Qhyorim gifts are exchanged, a feast is prepared and consumed, and merriment continues deep into the night.

Vyldrian - Day of Sacrifices (12th of Tirslaad)
On this day, every year, the followers of Qhymos focus on remembering the sacrifices of not only their own peoples, but of other groups. Small remembrance shrines are built along side the roads they are travelling on, with small prayers for the various dead each caravan is remembering. This date is also the day the Vylfaen Elaris died during the Qivdaram Invasion, and the holiday was started by her own caravan in the following years, eventually being adopted by the Qhyorim as a whole.

Narados - Day of Triumph (20th of Aoiral)
This day is a day of remembering the great champions of the faith, such as Gnarl and Vylfaen Elaris, the Chosen and Yoraish of Qhymos. On this day various tales are told, a small feast is prepared and an epic play is performed, re-framing the deeds of the champions and keeping their memories alive.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Qhymos personally seeks to explore and enjoy the world that they helped create, not as some divine being but as a mere mortal, living the lives of those they created. This goal has somewhat expanded over the years to see those that need help are giving it regardless of ethnicity or personal power, as they kept seeing countless thousands of mortals living in squalor.
