Custodian
Qualifications
In order to qualify for the position of Custodian, an individual must have at least eight years of service as a civil servant of Kharahal, and have a minimal disciplinary record.
Appointment
In order to be appointed to the office of Custodian, a body of peers from through the towns industries and factions, known as the Quorum, reviews eligible candidates and then votes for an individual to be appointed. If a Custodian survives a term (most tend to be on the older side) the Quorum must first conduct a vote of confidence and, should the vote pass, then the current Custodian will continue to serve.
Duties
Custodians are the supreme managers of Kharahal and must oversee all governmental actions, from infrastructure projects to military operations. This often means that Custodians are constantly working; reviewing reports, attending meetings & ceremonies and other managerial tasks.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Should a Custodian take actions against the wishes of the Quorum or the people of Kharahal, the Quorum may vote to conduct an emergency vote of confidence. Should the Custodian lose this vote, they are stripped of all power and their title immediately, with the Quorum immediately replacing them with another individual as per the election.
