Stralshafen

Stralshafen is the second-largest city in Strikkonia. It is the location not only of Strikkonia's largest coin mint, but also its largest bank. As such, it is often cited as the nation's most important economic center, even above the capital city of Driavnica. The city of Stralshafen is organized in rigid layers. The innermost layer, the High City, is the neighborhood that is home to most of the nobles and bankers. Beneath that is the Trade District, where most merchants make their homes and conduct business. Outside the Trade District is the Low City, where the ordinary tradesmen and journeymen live. Surrounding all this is the Warrens, a slum inhabited by the down-and-out who have been unable to get a financial foothold.
