Ichiro Iha

"Leading the Okane has never been easy; but I would never betray them, even at the cost of my life. As such, giving in to the demands you Takishi would be a great dishonor. I will ask you take your leave." -Ichiro Iha, 4th Chairman of the Okane Clan

As an arcusa since birth, Ichiro Iha made a name for himself as the "Untameable Lion", a name he received while the Iha Family was still run by his father. After serving some time in prison after a physical confrontation with another family's lieutenant, he returned to the Okane Clan, taking over the Iha from his father. Continuing where he had left off, he was cutthroat, using any means necessary to carry the Iha to the top of Okane. He was named the sucessor of the Okane Clan and has served in that position since.

Early Life

Ichiro Iha is a Chusett native and has lived in the city his whole life. Born in 1889 to Ichiro Kubo and Isla Coghlan, he grew up as a prominent figure thanks to his father's high influence in the Okane Clan. His father was granted his own family in early 1905, and Ichiro served in his father's family for ten years. During this time, he received the title "Untameable Lion" for constantly acting against his father's orders; Kubo couldn't deny Iha's results, however, and chose not to punish him. That leniency ended after Iha started a fight with a Powell Family Lieutenant and was sent to prison to make amends. He spent three three years behind bars. While there, his father died of natural causes, leaving Iha in charge of the family.

Rise Through the Ranks

Iha returned to the outside in 1918 with the passion he had before heading to jail, and he was determined to take his father's family with him to the top. First, he focused on seizing key territories from other families; specifically the then smaller Murly Port and the area surrounding, which would later become the railyard. Ichiro began to ramp up smuggling operations in the area and using the money generated to bribe higher-up officials in the Chusett Police Department. With ease of mind knowing the police would generally look the other way of his operations, he started putting his attention on bettering the clan. When outside organizations got to close to Chusett, Iha wanted the Iha Family to be the one which drove them out. After the passing of the 3rd chairman in 1933, there was no one who could deny Ichiro being named the successor.
