The Downs
Jurisdiction: Commote of Brontydd
Features: Llosgydd, Downs Canyon, City of Brontydd
The North and South Downs lie on the west side of Bwrdd Llosgydd, and are home to a variety of creatures. They are bordered on the west by the Serpent's Fjords, and on the east by the Tundra and Crow Steppe. In the heart of the Downs lies the Downs Canyon, which is where quarrying work on Bwrdd is done. The Canyon River cuts through the middle of the Downs, dividing them into the northern and southern regions.
Landscape
The North Downs consists of rolling hills which are covered by grasses and shrubs, and some small trees that manage to break through the rocky terrain. Walnut Forest grows at their southeastern edge. Craggy mountains constitute the South Downs, the peaks becoming more flat and shelf-like as they near the Fjords. The island's generative volcano, Llosgydd, can be seen from the vantage point provided by any of these peaks.
