The optimism and vigor of youth clash with the disillusionment of experience in this Science Fiction/Fantasy novel following a pair of friends as they navigate their world, advocating to improve the lives of the people they love.
The people of Bwrdd Llosgydd have grown dark and harsh, their hearts mirroring the landscape of their home. Corruption and animosity have made their way into the Institute of Justice, and the Volitionists of Bwrdd find themselves outcast by the rest of society.
Tensions are high, and even as the Volitionists strive to prove themselves upstanding members of society, others commit atrocities in their name. Their chance for redress is all but lost, and yet a few bright stars still shine. They can only hope to make an impact before their own lights are snuffed out.
The geographical setting is modeled after aspects of Wales and Norway, and the story takes inspiration from the likes of Frankenstein’s Monster and Teen Titans, as well as themes prevalent in The Elder Scrolls.
