BUILD YOUR OWN WORLD Like what you see? Become the Master of your own Universe!

A Civilization is not a Zero-Sum Game!

Whence came the absurd notion that the gain of one meant the loss of another? My breath doesn't rob that of my neighbor. If I should be granted a generous yield by my garden, will my neighbor suffer for it? I think not. Why, then, does the City Hall entertain the thought that improving the lives of oppressed classes will harm those more fortunate, and allow the disregard for our rights?

Perhaps the Hall is more concerned with the convenience and comfort of the wealthy than the well being of its citizens. After all, it is a well-known fact that donations from such prosperous individuals line the pockets of the council. The poor are exploited by the rich, and law-abiding citizens are persecuted for their refusal to give up their creative pursuits and their insistence on living lives of nourishment and community.

Does the baron make a statement? Condemn the actions of the Hall as they take a side against the victim? No! He cannot be bothered to place his hands on the workings of the City, and yet he places them upon the taxes taken from the people. Coward! You will not stand and oppose this evil. You will sit by and watch the cruelty of the Hands of Justice with a blind eye until the very chair you sit upon is thrust out from under you.

The displayed note was found posted to the door of the Advarsel City Hall by the early morning watch. How it was posted without the poster being spotted remains a mystery, though some have suggested that it was done from inside.

Suspicion spread quickly amongst the guard, toward both the townsfolk and each other. After a demonstration was made by the captains of the guard, the social climate of the city was fearful and anxious, but that didn't stop the perpetrators of this vandalism.

More copies of the note appeared continuously at the City Hall, around the baron's estate, and on the doors of buildings throughout the City until checking for and removing these notes became as routine as refreshing the lamps.

"Cmon boys, it seems a riots on!" In all seriousness, a great piece of artwork, and an interesting use of fantasy to critique both modern and past governance. Amazing work my friend!

Kind of sad how the calls for revolution became a pest control operation. Just another thing to take care of on your evening cleanup, get rid of the call to arms. Fun and thought provoking article.
