Hivernal is the harsh tundra that covers the Southern coast of Eastern Albietha. In its center is the mobile fortress city of Bastion, home to the primary concentration of the world's Avianfolk population. Hivernal is covered in frozen lakes and rivers, and dotted with small, warm hamlets that remain protected from the The Malignancy for a multitude of reasons. Many of these smaller settlements receive aid from the walking city as it passes them by. The closer one gets to the Southern tip of Albietha, the fewer settlements are to be found, as the fierce cold and physical manifestation of Ice grows to be far too strong for the area to be habitable.
