Sir Barton Steeplechase

Sir Barton is a member of the Elite Guard of Ascus. He was formerly Captain of the Guard in Falberk and the man who gave Ryleigh Alastair her scars.
He was seen in Session 104 in Aston, where he was passing through and arrested a man who had led Dawnguard into an ambush. He said he was heading east and left without any indication that he had recognized the young paladin who he had literally scarred seven years earlier.

General Physical Condition

Healthy and robust.

Body Features

Traditionally attractive and muscular. He is the very image of a shining paladin, entering the second half of his thirties. He's been around some, but managed to come out of his duty unblemished. He has a charming smile, a twinkle in his eye, and most people would probably consider him a very fine example of a man.

Special abilities

He wields a small amount of arcane magic as well as the divine magic from Asten.

Apparel & Accessories

As a member of the Sunguard, he wears plate armor with a red and gold tabard with the Ascan sun emblazoned on his chest. He carries a halberd and his armor is made of special material.

Personal history

Barton Steeplechase was the fourth son of a merchant, raised in privilege but not riches. Knowing he would not be heir to whatever his family was able to provide, he became a guard in the city of Manavik in 3Y02. He was promoted to Captain of the Guard in Falberk in 3Y11. After that, he became a member of the Sunguard and was knighted in 3Y17. In 3Y20, he was one of three Sunguard sent to look into the rumors of The Moonborn resurfacing in Ascus.
