The Moonborn
A child of Vydea is prophesied to bring Vyon into a new era. When Badru Moonstream was born, he was hailed as the Moonborn and Vyon's calendar changed to represent the new era, changing the year from 2Y1033 to 3Y00.
Summary
Badru Moonstream was believed to be the Moonborn because he was not only a descendant of Vydea, but was born weeks early under a rare version of a full moon. While Rukiya is also considered a child/daughter of Vydea, and thus is three times a child of Vydea, the knowledge of her gender is known only to four people.

The people of Vyon are very familiar with the end of the prophecy as it was all the talk of the people when Badru was born and even more when he was presumed killed.
Cultural Reception
The people of Vyon believe strongly in the prophecy of the Moonborn. They were very excited to know that the Moonborn was alive in 3Y00. They mourned heavily when Badru was presumed dead in 3Y18. Now, the people have conflicting thoughts. Some believe Badru was never the Moonborn and still await their appearance. Others believe that Badru is the Moonborn and thus can't be actually dead- Vydea would keep him safe until it was time for his rise. Still others believe the prophecy must have been defeated.
