Naganais

Naganais are Scions with the true from of a naga. Scientists, archivists, and even the scions themselves debate on whether or not this is a sub species or an ethnicity. However, we believe they are their own set of culture and beliefs. As a result, Archivist Glenhook, our cultural and biological researcher on sapiens, has compiled an array of information about them. Naganais are the most quiet and lonely out of the scions. They are shy, and thoughtful, but they also have been known as sneaky and untrustworthy. No matter what you see about them, once you have their trust, you have it for life.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Elemental Strength

A tournament is conducted yearly by the naganais Watcher of the Scion's Circle. Each naganais has their own elemental that they can control. In teams of two, a competition to see who can score the most points by simply putting a ball into the other team's goal. The first to five points wins. Winners get mere bragging rights... As we have been told anyways.

Funerary and Memorial customs

When a naganais passes away, it's a significant to them as a people. Family members take the body and being preparation for burial. When death occurs, the body immediately is embalmed to remove vital organs to preserve the body. This is performed, by a Burial Priest that is trained in this practice. Afterward, the body is completely wrapped in soft white cloth and is adorned with decorative sashes. Immediate family are not allowed to mourn over the body before the final burial process begins. Once enough times given, the body is placed in a sarcophagus to be buried underground in which other may mourn the body.

Major organizations

Among all scions, the Scion's Circle is the only source of authority to them. The Naganais are no exception. With their seat in the circle, the Naganais are the eyes and ears of the circle as well as in charge of Elemental Magic and the Glade of Iris. With the Naganais are generally disliked, the Naganais seat has been cursed with suspicion. They ensure that the battle is won before the battle has even begun and if it fails, the Gryphor fix the problem. It is up to the Naganais to keep an eye on an ever changing world.
