Mt. Tardout

It was the most active volcano in the region, but now it lies dormant with it's last eruption a thousand years ago. However, that does not mean it's neighbours don't occasionally erupt.

Geography

Amongst the mountains in the The High Throne Mountains Chain, Mt. Tardout is in the top five tallest peaks in the chain. It was also the most dangerous place on the continent. It's last eruption as in the years of 2788 S during one of the Imperium's darkest times. It covered Lothna and Tabbloyn with ash for a entire week which killed thousands. It took years of recovery with the assistance of life mages and the like to undo most of the damage that was done.
Now the mountain is filled with plants and creatures, even the native Purple Warbler returned. The land was reclaimed by the nearby wildlife, along with the warbler which we thought to be extinct after the eruption. It is a natural wonder due to it's surprising recovery, even with the help of magic.

Fauna & Flora

Purple Warbler

Relative to the Red Warbler, these birds were native to the mountain until it's eruption. It was only after nearly 500 years later that the bird was rediscovered in the area. A natural miracle and we never thought they would return. Now they seemed to be back to a stable population. Whatever brought them back hasn't been discovered yet.

Obsidian Glass

Someone with powerful elemental magic can shape the molten rock into strong material. The technique called Molten Wave takes years of training and a mastery of their magic. After such training the rock can be molded into forms of your desire, but when you do it is infused with magic. This is called Glassing, which solidifies ambient magic to strengthen its form. Any sort of Obsidian Glass is worth a fortune.

Death's Ash

Ash that covers and kills a living thing can absorb the necrotic magic that is released. Such ash is perfect for enchanting or a poison.

It has killed many in the distant past and has wiped away cities from history. Someday we'll discover what secrets it's left behind.
