Illon
Illon is the third planet from the sun in Eastspace. It has three moons, Oblivia, Ladassa, and Caldera. A Harmonic Convergence occurs every thousand years when the three moons align.
Geography
Illon has five continents.
The most populated is Eagremond. Eagremond tends to influence the rest of the world. For example, the Eras (see History) are based on Eagremond's history. The days of the week and planets of Eastspace are named after the Acovian Pantheon of Gods. Even the name Eastspace comes from the Kingdom of Eastvale.
The largest continent is Omnios. It is a wide expanse with a long history of conquerers trying to take it over.
Sumasi, a continent in the southern hemisphere, contains the most wild animals and has many tribal cultures.
The smallest continent is Aegoa. It was ruled by House Bananahammock for centuries.
And the final continent is Jotai, which is actually an archipelago of islands. They have a very different culture from the rest of Illon.
Ecosystem Cycles
History
Illon's history is divided into Eras. These Eras tend to follow the history of Eagremond, but are adopted by the other continents.
The Mythic Era was the time before the Eladrin arrived in Illon. Notable heroes of this time include Aramel, who guarded Blackrazor here for many years.
The First Era began when several groups of Eladrin came through portals from the Feywild and became the Elves of Illon.
During the First Era, Princess Consuela Bananahammock and her Entourage adventured across Aegoa.
It ended when the Evil Overlord killed Good King Ulmond.
The Second Era was the rule of the Evil Overlord. It ended in 515 2E when he was defeated by Godfrey Samuels.
The early Third Era left everybody trying to divide borders after the fall of the Evil Overlord. Godfrey Samuels founded the Kingdom of Eastvale.
After the adventures of Chaotic Okay in 48 3E, Queen Belladonna took over Eastvale, despite finding out that King Aaron Samuels was not her real father, but Solaniel was. Queen Belladonna and her general, Waywocket the Wicked, were later defeated by A Group of Elves in 54 3E.
In 65 3E, a new group of adventurers met in Swanford. This group would eventually become The Iron Fairies and go to the Feywild.
In 70 3E, The Chosen Nine set out to destroy Caldera. After finding out it was inhabited, they evacuated the Calderans and their livestock, including Charhorns, Blaze Hogs, Ember Beetles, and Gravestalk Root. These species lived on Illon from that point on.
When the Iron Fairies return to the Prime Material Plane, it was 78 3E, despite the fact that it was 65 3E when they left.
The art of Spelljamming became widely known on Illon sometime after the 100s 3E.
In 196 3E, Zibberty Bumblebrim was born. She became the greatest wizard ever known in Illon's history and a member of the White Council of Wizards. The Third Era later ended with her death in 811 3E.
During the Fourth Era, the species of Caldera moved to Odrus, which is much more habitable for them.
The Fourth Era ended with the villainous acts of the New Evil Overlords. The Fifth Era became a steampunk dystopia ruled by them.
The Sixth Era was the modern age, with suburbs like the Eastvale Suburbs taking over in many cities. In 144 6E, the Magnolia St Adventurers and Maple St Adventurers met.
The Seventh Era began with the worldwide Droid Wars, wherein Robots took over the world and stuck the people of Illon into a Simulation of the Third Era.
The Eighth Era began with the defeat of the robots and the founding of the Eastspace Empire, which Illon was at the center of. It became a gleaming utopia, inhabited by the richest people in the empire, with poorer people being exiled to other worlds in Eastspace. During the Eighth Era, a group met on Ladassa.
Illon retained this status throughout the Ninth and Tenth Eras.
The Eleventh Era saw a great collapse, a major apocalypse that destroyed most life on the planet. By the Twelfth Era, the world before was forgotten, and something resembling the First Era formed again, with science being thought of as magic.
The Thirteenth Era saw the end of Illon, with it being destroyed for good in 9670 13E.
