City Lord
A city lord is a minor noble responsible for a single city and its surrounding area.
Qualifications
Reliability: Trustworthiness and reliability are important traits for a City Lord. They should be seen as dependable and responsible leaders.
Skills and Leadership: A City Lord should possess the skills and leadership qualities necessary to govern a city effectively.
Appointment
While the title of City Lord is typically a hereiditary position it is not always the case. Tradition dictates that the first born child of a city lord, boy or girl, is typically the first choice, but if the local higher ranking Lord does not believe them to be a good choice, they can take the matter to the Duke, or King, and try to name someone else.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Failure to execute duties of the position.
