Dumul

Children of the Heavens

The Bull of Heaven was the champion who slew the Empress of Eternal Spring. Those who followed him were true of heart and soul.
The Dumul are one of the formerly ten elven nations. Among the northern nations there are the Aldrim, Shatun, Geleter and the Dumul themself. There are also four nations in the south, the Kaolai, Kenatan, Yupanki, Ishmak.   The Dumul used to live in what is now called the Waste of Time. Before that, around two millenia before the Age of Dauler, this land was lush and fertile. Many rivers, coming from the Tonad-Qhoor traversed it, allowing a flourishing civilisation at their shores. This is long gone and the once fertile land has been turned into desert.

History

In their early history, the Dumul are best known for their resistance against the Empress of Eternal Spring. Their champion, called the Bull of Heaven, fought an defeated the Empress and set an end to her rule. The reign of the Empire of Eternal Spring ended, but it was succeded by an age of an even greater civilisation. The Age of Askareia brought the pinnacle of elven civilisation as such.   This age was ended by the War against the Second God. The elves were victorious and the Dumul weren't hit as hard as other nations, such as the Ishmak. In the following ages the Dumul became more dominant and established their own Empire.

The Waste of Time

The height of the Dumul-Empire was reached around two thousand years before the Age of Dauler, before the First Age of Humanity. During this age the magic of Chronomancy was perfected and many tried their hands at it. One particular mage was obsessed with turning back time. Ultimately to get finally rid of the Second God and to return elven civilisation to its peak.   This endeavour ended in catastrophe. The result was the total destruction of the Dumul homeland. Some escaped the catastrophe and went to the Aldrim and Geleter nations. Most of the Dumul however were lost to time. It is not clear what exactly happened and some speculate that the Dumul chronomancers trapped themself and their nation in a timeloop, that time itself was damaged.
