Somerston Key
Somerston Key is mainly a trading hub, the island is mostly forest and mountains, so farming is difficult. Rich merchants live in the inner city on the other side of the island. It was originally founded by the Somerston family, their home still is on the island passed down through generations.
After the shipwreck, the explores find themselves washed up on the shore. Greeted by a friendly dockworker, they find themselves on the island of Iedar Tegon. A place with a rich history full of magical wars and religions, the presiding Lord Somerston takes care of the people very well. The island used to worship the Order of the Martyr, but after the corruption started, the island blamed the Order and started to desecrate the statues.
Named after the Lord's family that lives there, the Lord takes care of the people very well, mainly operating off of trade from the coast, supplementing food with the meager fields that can be grown on the rough terrain from constant saltwater winds from the East. However peaceful the village is within the forest border...there are random attacks on the city, but no one is brave enough to investigate the cause. All they know is on random nights, dead bodies will appear in the fields. Sometimes animals, sometimes a person...
