Origins
The church of the Faithful was founded midway through the Great War by Elspth Murdoc, when she was around thirty years old. The exact date of its origin is not known except that it was started as a way to prevent the violence being done to the Selkiefolk.
The church of the faithful is the only known religious branch of the Alixians (those who follow Alixya) and is somewhat secret, even to followers of the same religion. The main reason for this secrecy is fear of persecution. Elspeth, specifically, does not trust those outside of the church and is highly suspicious which often leads to good people being turned away.
Positions
Founding Members
Only two people hold the title of founding member, Elspeth Murdoc and her brother Angus Murdoc. Although technically joint in foundimg the church, Elspeth is officially named as the founder due to the matriarchal structure of Selkie society.
Treasurer
The treasurer looks after the limited funds of the church. This position is held by a member who has gained a high level of trust and is changed every winter solstice. The current treasurer is Berla Wind and the position has been held in her family for five consecutive years, much to the annoyance of the other members.
Member
Member is the generic position of a member of the church. It comes with no extra responsibilties or jobs. As of right now, the church currently has thirty members.
