Who is Drikinus? (Earth Name: Richard)

A wheelchair bound boy held prisoner by an unknown organisation on Earth during the mid-seventies and monitored by a man called the Watcher. His Earth name is Richard. His Lendorian name is Drikinus.
Drikinus loves reading comics and listening to 60's and 70's music. His room has a bookcase full of his favourite superhero comics and a colour TV (Which the boy calls an Imagebox) showing one channel but only when the Watcher allows.
He hates having to eat a mush like food substance that takes immense will power to suck up. If he doesn't finish it the Watcher punishes him.
The room holding him prisoner is kept in pristine condition and contains several unique objects some from Earth and some alien in nature.
On Drikinus's fifteenth birthday the Watcher claims he has become a man and is now ready for the next stage of his life. He is introduced to a Lifter book that will help the boy learn of his true origins.

Why is he a prisoner?

This is the main question Drikinus wants answered but so far he has only received riddles from the Watcher.

What lurks within?

During intense encounters with the Watcher, Drikinus can feel something alive moving deep within his body. Its desperate claws scratch at his mind as it demands to be released - But what is it? and should he release it?
