The Two Month War Military Conflict in Hoomanland | World Anvil

The Two Month War

The Two Month War is a period of two months where the Hoomans went to war with the Nasgovian Humans, due to their continued aggression and threats to other nations, as well as the incessant pollution of the planet.

The Conflict

Due to the fact that the Nasgovian Hoomans were more technologically advanced as well as being the ones to initiate the attack, the Humans ended up being at a disadvantage and vastly outnumbered. The Hoomans were indiscriminate and fought harshly, with their tactics to hit hard and fast to decrease the chances of Hooman casualty.

Outcome

The Nasgovian Human’s military was crippled severely, as a large amount of their equipment was destroyed or stolen, as well as the fact that a lot of soldiers were killed.   For the Hoomans, while there were no casualties, soldiers returned with physical and/or psychological damage. Some soldiers were praised for their contributions, while others were seen as murderers. More high-tech military equipment and weaponry was developed during and for a few months after the war, due to Algernon making preparations for any retaliation in the future.

Aftermath

While it was a point of conflict, the Nasgovian Humans continued to pollute Nasgovia even after the war and the relations between the Humans and Hoomans became mostly unsalvageable at that point.

Historical Significance

The Two Month War cemented a long-lasting hatred between the Hoomans and the Humans. Technologies that were developed during the war would eventually be used during The Great Glassing.
