Lord Commander Gundaric

Sir Gundaric of Angessier is the Lord Commander of the Brotherhood of Bronze at their base in the Holy City of Jeharoa. He has the full support of the Queen of Jeharoa, Theodosia I, and one of several individuals tasked with mounting a defense of the Kingdom of Jeharoa against any foreign or domestic threats. He is noted among his fellows as being deeply religious and having a great fascination with the Mithrilic history of the Holy City of Jeharoa.

General Physical Condition

Gundaric is a massive man with great muscles and a prodigous belly. He has a military cut beard and hair with salt and pepper coloration. He appears a little slothful, but beneath his armored exterior is a fearsome physical warrior.

Personal history

Sir Gundaric joined the Brotherhood of Bronze and the Grand Pilgrim Army only a few years after the First Pilgrim War. Originally, he was studying to be an Arbiter of Balan, but decided instead to go against his father's wishes and join the Brotherhood in pursuit of fortune and glory. During his education as an Arbiter, Gundaric gained an appreciation for history and became fascinated by the events of the War of the Dawn, specifically the Battle at Mount Castorai and the birth of Ezrahil.
Upon arriving in the Mashiq, Gundaric went on pilgrimage to Mount Castorai and was overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. He quickly became a fervent believer and made it his duty in life to defend it. He joined the Brotherhood of Bronze's outpost there and ended up seeing action against a large cackle of angry gnolls. This further radicalized Gundaric and also caught the eyes of his superiors who restationed him in Jeharoa. There, he became integral to the security of the city and ingratiated himself to the Pilgrim Royal Family of Jeharoa. He also began to gather information about not only the defensive infrastructure of the city but also about the more mundane assets of the city's construction. Eventually, he became convinced that the Lance of Re Mashar, a holy relic was located somewhere in the city. He put out a bounty for it and has sent men looking for it for many years to no success. He remains loyal to Queen Theodosia, though he is wary of her mental state and has made preparations to ensure the security of Jeharoa should she become compromised. He deeply loathes Nizar the Turnclaw and has suspected him of treason for over a decade, but without any conclusive proof of his guilt, he only whispers his doubts into the Queen's ear against the dragonborn.
