ALPHA Program

Advanced Lifeform Phenomenon Harvesting and Analysis Program or APLHA Program was a the former technology and science department of the U.S. government that has since turned into an organization hellbent on trying to perfect humanity. Willing to go to any extremes if it means furthering their goals.

Structure

The Program ultimately finds itself run by a council of individuals who rule with the title King and or Queen with each one running a particular department within the organization. Scientific research and development specifically is run by the Queen of Diamonds. Combat and subject gather is controlled by King of Spades. Public relations and business by Queen of Clubs. Finally general affairs and secret deals with with less than reprievable groups is with the King of Hearts.
Under them are the Knights consisting of their most skilled agents and fighters meant for research gathering and executing runaways. Many of their head scientist are given the title Bishop, while security is referred to as Rooks. Everyone else is a pawn that has the potential for growth.

Public Agenda

To help 'improve' humanity by eliminating their weaknesses and evolve them to a state of pure superiority and perfection.

Assets

They have made connections with several crime organizations, terrorist, and militaries to help maintain their funding by supplying troops and the latest technology to aid them in their causes. Another way these 'allies' aid them is by supplying them with several 'willing' test subjects to help their cause.

History

Sometime during the Cold War and nuclear arms race a technological and bio engineer Adam Franks was recruited by the CIA to develop technology that could beat the Russians. In exchange he receives funding for his own private research on perfecting humans, naturally with terms and conditions of course. Though that didn't really stop from collecting data and research by experimenting on 'lost' soldiers and prisoners of war during Vietnam. The goal of this organization was to always develop the most advance technology on the planet and find ways to improve the human body, so their leader never really cared for average human life form. However around this time a few operatives that were sent over to recruit injured soldiers for some 'treatment' they indirectly stumbled upon a small territory consisting of elves. With this discovery the organization was introduce to the paranormal and began a whole new set of experimentation and research that was kept private among the heads.

However everything began to go downhill around 1990, the Cold War was slowly coming to an end and over time the group began to slowly lose more and more its funding making it harder to continue with any of their side projects. Eventually in 1992 the entire operation was shutdown by CIA after the war ended and began confiscating all of the research that was achieved over the years. Many including Frank's secret research was discovered and were apprehended for committing dozens of crimes against both humanity and nature itself. That was until they were contacted by an unknown third part that claims they can give them back their research and supply them with safely secure test facilities, in exchange all they had to do was perform a few side deals every now and then. Seeing this as their only chance of escape and freedom to continue their work, they agreed to this deal and were promptly released by this unknown benefactor.

Now the organization continues its research undisturbed by the government that held them back for years and aims to create the perfect human being.
