Farnon Haddinan
Farnon Haddinan is the leader of the Blue Guild, an alliance of merchants and manufacturers in the lucrative dye trade in Gathansin. Haddinan has a reputation as being a thoroughly ruthless and underhand trader.
He is frequently accompanied by Dal-Tarr Sarenn, Gathansin's popular arena champion, who serves as Haddinan's bodyguard and loyal companion.
Haddinan is secretly controlling the Turning Wheel cult, a group of worshippers of Pirogane seeking to destabilise Gathansin's economic order. Haddinan is using the cult for his own financial gain, undermining competitors and securing mercantile advantage.
