Human

Humans are one of the many humanoid species inhabiting the Helerin Archipelago. They are counted among the Newcomers who arrived in the islands two millennia ago, and now make up nearly half of the islands' inhabitants.

Physical appearance

Humans vary widely in physique, but males typically reach almost 6 feet in height, while females are generally several inches shorter. Skin colour ranges from mid-brown to darker shades, and hair and eyes are always dark.

Lifespan and growth

Humans typically live to about 60 years of age, although levels of wealth and comfort can increase or decrease this dramatically. Humans reach adulthood at around 18 years of age.

Innate attributes and abilities

A small proportion of Humans are able to use magic.

Populations

Although not native to the islands, they now make up the largest single population among all the species, accounting for nearly half of all the archipelago's inhabitants. The six major nations are all led by Humans, and in the towns and cities of these realms, Humans typically make up around 40% of the population.
