Fenrir
The story goes that when the sentence of Múspel and Niflheim were destroyed, Patala-loka took pieces of their powers and combined it parts of its own sentence and powers. Through this process, Patala-loka created the fenrir. There are only a few fenrir, but they possess the powers of all three primal forces, Múspel, Niflheim, and Chaos. A fenrir’s strength is believed to rival even the most powerful of otherworldly beings. Even the Divine are wary of the fenrir.
They take the form of massive wolves on the physical plane. Very few have seen a fenrir, and no one knows their true purpose, just the sheer force of their strength. Some speculate that Patala-loka created the fenrir to protect itself from the Divine after shattering Múspel and Niflheim. Others believe the fenrir were created to watch over and protect Patala-loka’s many physical forms.
Fenrir From Norse Lore
Fenrir is the wolfish child of Loki. He is very powerful, and vicious. It was foretold that he would eat Odin and play a major role in ending the world. Because of how dangerous he was, the Æsir had him chained up with chains made of six impossible things that way he can’t escape. In order to get the clever wolf to agree to getting chained the Æsir had to deceive him, saying the were merely testing his strength. But Fenrir saw through their plan and said he would only let them chain him if one of the Æsir put their hand in his mouth. Tyr, the one who raised the wolf, was the only one that volunteered. When Fenrir couldn’t escape he bit off Tyr’s hand.
