Great Temple of Vitkav

In 899,503, the Goddess Vitkav came down from on high to visit Mytilias. She was a young goddess then, barely out of her youth. She was roaming the forest of what is now known as Ofay, but then had no name. She came across a young elven women desperately trying to heal her family from a great sickness. Vitkav promised to heal the family of the great sickness if the young woman, Soliana Balvyre, would dedicate her life to learning the healing arts. Soliana agreed. Vitkav healed Soliana's husband, Rolim, her daughter, Velatha, and her son, Kymil. Vitkav gifted Soliana with another babe, even though she was past her time of bearing. Soliana and her family spent the next 40 learning the art of healing from Vitkav.   Then in 899550, they began building a temple in her name in the heart of the forest where Vitkav healed them so many years ago. It took them 25 years and many coin to build the temple, but it was great. People came from miles around to see the Great Temple, and petition them for healer. The family Balvyre became renown as the greatest healers of their time.   As people came to them to learn to heal and could take over some of their duties, Velatha, Kymil, and the youngest blessed child, Syvis head out into the world to learn healing from other sentient species. Velatha and Kymil travel to the Fae to learn potion making and floriculture respectively.  Syvis travels to the Dragons to learn magical healing.

The Fire
Tragedy struck in 1,077,024, when a magical fire swept through the town. It gutted the town and killed half of those living in the town. The healers and mages worked together to keep the other half alive, but there was major damage to most of the building. Instead of trying to repair them, they tore down the buildings.
